Amy’s Kitchen Celebrates National Veggie Burger Day with Plant-Based Patty Perfection

On June 5, celebrate National Veggie Burger Day the veggie way with Amy’s Kitchen.

Summertime and the living is … veggie! With barbecue season upon us, what better excuse to round up your family and friends than to fire up the grill with a twist? You can easily get your yum on with a veggie good feast of Amy’s Kitchen veggie burgers for National Veggie Burger Day, June 5. Amy’s established the holiday on June 5, 2016, and has been keeping the party going ever since.

But, chew on this: The genesis of Amy’s veggie patty started long before then, in 1989, when the company embarked on a journey to create the ultimate veggie burger. That resulted in the crafting of the Organic California Veggie Burger.

Today, Amy’s Kitchen offers several varieties of veggie burgers made from organic ingredients like sweet potatoes, tofu, oats, and quinoa.

Organic California Veggie

their first-ever veggie patty, Amy’s whipped up a savory blend of organic bulgur wheat, savory mushrooms, organic potatoes, and toasted walnuts. Pure Wow gave the healthy patty a winning spot on its Best Veggie Burgers list in 2023.

Grill or pan-fry the patties until heated through, then stack them high with your favorite toppings. Some tasty options include fresh avocado or guacamole, grilled onions, roasted red peppers, tomato slices, crisp lettuce, and your favorite vegan cheese.

What people are saying about them: “These were really, really good,” Bonnie wrote on azurestandard.com.

On the same website, Christi Weiner shared her review, stating, “My favorite veggie burger. Good texture and flavor.”

Organic Black Bean Veggie Burger

The Black Bean Veggie Burger is made from a savory blend of black beans, sweet corn, and smoky-spicy chipotle. Its rich, hearty, complex flavor appeals to both vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Its robust texture makes it a perfect choice for grilling, pan-frying, or baking.

What people are saying about it: “My favorite veggie burgers,” raved a reviewer by the name of BlueNun on target.com. “The best frozen veggie burgers out there! Excellent with guacamole. Great quick meal after a busy day at work.”

A reviewer named Natalie agreed. “So good!” Natale shared. “So delicious. I am impressed with her brand. You can see and taste the veggies. It’s so good. I’m addicted.”

Organic Sonoma Veggie Burger

Crafted with organic quinoa, mushrooms, spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes, this gluten-free, dairy-free burger is a versatile and satisfying option that brings a bit of Sonoma County’s rustic charm to your plate, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to enjoy a gourmet veggie burger experience.

What people are saying about it: Amazon reviewer Ryan B. gave the burgers a five-star rating. “Cooked these on the skillet tonight with a little bit of olive oil, vegan chipotle sauce, and a GF bun. Wow. Honestly, this burger is better than what you’ll find in a restaurant half of the time. It’s seriously that good. It has the added benefit of not having any canola oil or corn. Amazing. A burger night isn’t complete without one of these bad boys.”
