Uniqlo’s success reflects the growth of Japan’s industrial giant

The company’s latest results have benefited shareholders, with operating income of ¥103 billion ($760 million) for the three months ended February, up 48% year-on-year. Savings are no longer just bonuses to a company’s bottom line. Uniqlo raised salaries for some employees by up to 40% in March.
