ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — Did you win money by betting on St. Peters, the longest-running men’s college basketball team to reach the Elite Eight in this year’s National Championship Tournament?

According to the DraftKings sportsbook, customers bet on St. Peters in 2022 and won more money than any other team. And Peacocks’ 67-64 victory over Purdue on March 25 was the best winning game for BetMGM’s customers.

Some of the country’s leading sportsbooks provided The Associated Press with year-end data showing how people will bet in 2022.
The DraftKings’ other money-makers included North Carolina, Gonzaga, Kansas, and Providence in the NCAA Tournament. NFL’s San Francisco 49ers, Minnesota Vikings, Washington Commanders.
Big money losers for DraftKings customers included the defending Super Bowl champions, the Los Angeles Rams. At BetMGM, the players who bet the most were Judge, Curry and Doncic.
Houston mattress dealer and big-time gambler Jim McKinvale, also known as “Mattress Mack,” has two big wins at Caesars this year. Houston he bet $3 million on the Astros to win the World Series at odds of 10-1 and paid $30 million. , won about $8 million betting that Kansas would win the NCAA basketball tournament.
At BetMGM, the players who bet the most were Judge, Curry and Doncic. McIngvale also won his $10 million in Astros World Series betting at BetMGM.
The World Cup soccer game, in which the United States defeated Iran 1-0, was BetMGM’s third most profitable game for customers this year.
The best result for BetMGM was the Sept. 12 revenge game between the Seattle Seahawks, who had just traded Wilson, and the team that acquired him, the Denver Broncos. They also performed well in the 49ers-Packers Playoff Game, Georgia-Alabama College Football Championship Game, and Bengals-Titans Playoff Game.
That sportsbook also paid out big Super Bowl bets, including a $1 million bet on the Rams to score more points than the Bengals in the first and fourth quarters.
