Die-hard Disney fans sell the water scooped from Splash Mountain’s channel on the last day of Walt Disney World’s opening day for $50 an ounce, much like the holy water blessed by the Pope at the Vatican.
Magic Kingdom’s Splash Mountain Water is available on online auction websites for $1 to $1,000 in containers ranging from mason jars and thermos bottles to ziplock bags and water candles.
One eBay seller poked fun at Disney fanatics and emphasized his emotional connection to a 1989 log ride at a Florida theme park by selling “tap water from my sink.” posted a $25,000 joke on
“This is clearly for fun and to make fun of the people who actually sell water from the rides,” the eBay seller wrote. Is the world so doomed that people buy water from vehicles?”

Disneyland’s version of Splash Mountain will also be transformed into Princess Tiana, but Anaheim Theme Parks has yet to announce a closing date for the attraction. Tiana’s Bayou Adventures will open in her 2024 at Disney World and Disneyland.
The Splash Mountain ride reimagined removes thematic elements related to Songs of the South. It is a controversial 1940s live-action/animated film that has been criticized for perpetuating racist stereotypes denied by Disney.
Twin Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Ride is a continuation of the “Princess and the Frog” story that begins after Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen’s final kiss. Splash Mountain’s new backstory follows Tiana and Louis the trumpeting alligator as they prepare for her first ever Mardi Gras performance.
Tiana’s takeover of New Orleans Square and nearby Critter Country has already begun.
In February, Disneyland opened its French Market restaurant in New Orleans Square. Tiana’s palace — The New Orleans restaurant run by Tiana in the animated film The Princess and the Frog.
