Man arrested for recording woman, girl in Pacifica locker room
PACIFICA – Police on Tuesday arrested a 37-year-old San Francisco man on suspicion of secretly filming a video of a woman and an 11-year-old girl at a clothing store in Pacifica, police said.
Officers were called to the business around 1 p.m. on Jan. 22 for a report of a man using a cell phone to surreptitiously record a female shopper in a locker room, Pacifica police said. mentioned in the news release. The man left before officers arrived, but witnesses provided a detailed description of the suspect.
The employee also gave officers access to the store’s security cameras, police said.
Detectives linked the man to similar cases in Pacifica and San Francisco and obtained a search warrant for his home and electronics, “additional evidence,” police said. Criminal charges and an arrest warrant were filed with the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.
At about 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, detectives arrested the man and put him in the county jail for three misdemeanor counts of seeing a human body in a cell.
