One ticket to win white balls 7, 10, 11, 13 and 24 and a red Powerball 24 in Wednesday’s draw sold for $1.08 billion at the Las Palmitas Mini Market at 1205 Wall Street in Los Angeles, lottery officials said.
In other words, 3 of the last 10 biggest jackpot winners have purchased tickets at Golden State. The mammoth $2.04 billion jackpot winner bought a ticket at Altadena last November. In 2016, one of the three winning tickets was sold at Chino Hills. And in 2021, a fourth winner bought a $699.8 million ticket for Morro Bay’s 11th biggest jackpot. No other state can match that many winning tickets.
