1912
Organized at Stockholm, this was just the fifth-ever Summer Olympics. Jim Thorpe flourished his multifaceted abilities as an athlete here. So, he won two gold medals in the decathlon with a record of 8413 points that could not be broken for the next twenty years and the newly formed pentathlon. Based on his overall performance at the 1912 Stockholm Summer Olympics he was considered to be the greatest athlete in the world. However, things did not go all well.
