Antioch Teenager Murder Suspect Arrested

Antioch, California (cron) — A suspect in the murder of a 17-year-old Antioch boy was arrested by SWAT teams on Tuesday.

Victim Anthony Westbrook was murdered outside his grandmother’s house on Macquarie Street in Antioch on September 4, 2022.

Brentwood’s 20-year-old Anthony McCoy was arrested at his home in Shady Willow Lane, Brentwood, by the Antioquia Police Department Violent Crime Unit SWAT team.

According to police, investigators found a Glock .40 handgun inside the Brentwood home.

APD spokesperson Ashley Crandell said, “Members of the Antioch Police Department extend their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Anthony Westbrook.”

McCoy was incarcerated in the Contra Costa County Jail on murder charges.
