2 Riverside MPs injured, 1 seriously injured in crash in Southern California

Two Riverside County sheriff’s deputies were injured, one critically, in a crash in San Jacinto early Friday morning.

Around 2:15 a.m., a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department vehicle collided with another vehicle on Esplanade Avenue and State Street, Sergeant John said. Diadora Vickers.

The co-driver who was driving the vehicle was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the other car was also hospitalized, but his injuries are unknown.

A second lieutenant at the scene was also hospitalized with injuries, but Mr. Vickers said the injuries were not life-threatening.

The exact circumstances of the deputy’s injuries have not been released, but Vickers said they were “unrelated to the accident.”
