A young Australian woman has summoned Lisa Wilkinson for her ‘privileged’ treatment by Channel Ten – while flying to the United States following the fallout from her controversial Accommodation speech.
The co-host of the project is under heavy fire after mentioning a lawsuit in her speeches while accepting the Logie Award for Outstanding News Coverage – leading to a re-planned rape process.
Wilkinson secretly flew out of Australia Los Angeles and presumably ‘the US will make its base for several weeks now’ – posing with the TV host for a photo outside the hotel California and expressions of excitement for a series of interviews she will conduct.
An outspoken young Australian woman, who goes by the alias ‘GoWokeGoBroke’, slammed Wilkinson – accusing her of ‘being treated’ with ‘privilege’ by the Ten network.
“I see a lot of privileges in this Lisa Wilkinson story,” she said.
Lisa Wilkinson was taken off the air after she spoke about an upcoming lawsuit during a speech at the Logie Awards last month. The case in question was therefore moved to October
A young Australian woman blasted Lisa Wilkinson when the star moved to Los Angeles and called for the dismissal of the media personality following the fallout from her controversial Logies speech
‘She’s been given leave, I’m assuming she’s paid, and now it’s turned out she’s been on longer leave and has moved to the United States, where she’s going to submit some fluffy entertainment stories.
“If this were anyone else, they would not get all these privileges – they would be fired from their jobs, and that would be it.”
Wilkinson, 62, is expected to spend time in Hollywood and New York, where she will interview ‘musicians and A-list movie stars’ for upcoming packages for The Project.
The trip will be combined with the annual leave that Wilkinson had already planned, said the Australian Media Diary column.
Wilkinson was ‘quietly and safely expelled from Australia to Los Angeles’ and ‘the US will now establish its base for several weeks’, the publication reported on Sunday
Lisa was initially expected to stay off the live panel until mid-July at her earliest, but will now stay away for at least a month longer, according to The Australian.
Last Monday, The Project host shared a photo of herself outside The Hotel California in Los Angeles, announcing that she will be working on interviews for the show.
‘Lots of room in the Hotel California! I’m here in the US for some very special @ theprojecttv interviews. Can’t wait to share more … ‘she wrote.
Daily Mail Australia has reached Channel Ten for comment.
