Woman transported to hospital after crisis intervention on Victorville overpass – VVNG.com

VICTORVILLE, California (VVNG.com) – The crisis intervention on Sunday afternoon led to a short closure of the Niqualli / La Mesa Road overpass in Victorville.

At around 13:34, on April 24, 2022, the deputies went out with an adult woman who had a knife and started cutting herself.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Tricia Blake said the deputies were ready for less deadly attacks and that they eventually deployed them. Deputies placed a garter on the woman’s arm before AMR transported her to a local hospital.

The lanes to the west on La Mesa Road were temporarily closed during the investigation.

“That is all the information that will be published at this moment,” the spokeswoman said.
