Will Smith has spoken in front of the camera for the first time about hitting Chris Rock at the Oscars, and he clearly feels a lot of shame and remorse.
Smith posted a mea culpa on Facebook and answered fans’ questions moment which shocked millions of people.
Smith says he didn’t go ballistic because Jada Pinkett Smith rolled his eyes at Rock’s joke…he says he did it alone because he felt the joke was offensive and disrespectful. She also made it clear that she and Chris Rock had “history,” and obviously not in a good way.

Smith said he has suffered from trauma, mostly because he had disappointed his fans and others, saying “I didn’t live up to people’s image and impression of me.”
As for why she didn’t apologize to Chris, she says she reached out but Chris wasn’t ready to talk to her, but she apologized in a new video. They haven’t spoken since the Oscars.
He went on to say… “I’m human and I made a mistake and I try not to think of myself as a speck.”
As for his former good friend Tony RockChris’s brother, Will apologized to him and admitted that the damage caused is probably “irreparable”.
