Whoopi Goldberg to Royal Family: You Owe the Whole World an Apology!

Today, when Americans talk about the British royal family, it is mostly associated with gossip about the messy interpersonal relationships between members of the Windsor clan.

But there was a time when royals had real power on the international stage, and the effects of some of the decisions they made are still felt globally.

Today, the Queen and the Company are basically a bunch of characters who live a luxurious life for UK taxpayers for a penny.

They still perform some important tasks, the primary task of which is to act as the country’s top diplomats.

Unlike elected officials or appointed ambassadors, royals are meant to be above political strife, allowing them to meet with foreign leaders and address issues of historical importance worldwide without having to worry about the next term.

It is a relatively light burden on a group of people who are born into a life of incomprehensible wealth and privilege.

So when the royals have neglected their duties, the public outrage is understandably quite strong.

Often the British demanded the royals to correct some historical mistake, but this week it was two hosts View who called on the residents of Buckingham Palace to intervene in the crimes of their predecessors.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are currently touring the Caribbeanand Whoopi Goldberg is one of many who believe that royals have no better time to deal with the history of racial atrocities in the UK.

“We can’t ignore the fact that Britain led India for years,” Goldberg said Monday.

“Let’s not forget that when we talk about what needs to happen, all the people who have to apologize.”

Goldberg pointed out that the royals have made some progress in terms of their sensitivity in these matters.

“Listen, this is not new,” the host continued.

“I doubt Charles when he was in Barbados [in 2021] He had an idea because he went on and apologized for releasing the grip he held in Britain, ”Whoopi said.

“So maybe someone is listening, and it’s a new group of people – I don’t know if it’s Charles, William, but one of them is supposed to be a person.”

Another presenter, Sunny Host, reiterated these feelings, pointing out that the history of British colonialism and enslavement is as old as the British Empire itself.

“The British, especially the royals, rarely talk about their history of slavery. They rarely talk about how they got their fortunes from black backs,” Hostin said.

During his recent appearance in Jamaica, Prince William apologized on behalf of his family for the centuries of injustice that has taken place in this part of the world.

“I want to express my deep sorrow. Slavery was disgusting. And it should never have happened,” William said at a dinner in Kingston.

“While the pain is deep, Jamaica will continue to build its future with determination, courage and strength,” he continued.

“The power and common sense of purpose of the Jamaican people, represented in your flag and motto, celebrates an invincible spirit.”

It is clear that the royals will never be able to make up for the many injustices that have taken place under the British flag.

But by apologizing and taking responsibility, the younger generation of royalty promises to try to secure a fairer future.
