Food offers in supermarkets – it’s a quick and easy lunch solution if you don’t have much time.
There has been a lot of discussion about what the best combinations can get, but price is also an important issue to talk about.
This was seen back in February when Tesco increased the price of the standard food offer by 50 pensions to £ 3.50with the proviso that Club card holders may withhold a price of £ 3.
So in people’s minds may be the cheapest food deal indeed can be found in UK supermarkets.
Consumer review Which ones? conducted some research to find out the UK’s main supermarkets.
Which UK supermarket offers the cheapest food?
- Asda – 3 to 5 pounds with the cheapest goods for free
- Boots – £ 3.59 or £ 4.19 (at some London airports)
- Cooperative – £ 3.75
- Morrison – 3 pounds
- Sainsbury’s – £ 3.50
- Tesco – £ 3.50 (or £ 3 with Clubcard)
So Morrisons is the cheapest place to get a food deal for £ 3 with additional reservations about the need for a club card at the store.
Meanwhile, the price of Asda depends on which product is the lowest price, so the price is different.
Which ones? say about it: “At Asda, which offers three items for the price of two, most sandwiches cost around £ 2.25 and a drink costs between £ 1 and £ 2.50 – so a snack will usually be the lowest price you get. for free. ”
