Where is the fire in southern Santa Barbara County?
The Los Padres National Forest, located in the mountains between the Santa Ynez Valley and the Gaviota Coast, reportedly began to burn an Arisal fire on Monday, October 11, 2021.
I saw smoke and flames on the hillside.
Los Padres officials revealed that the fire was first reported near Lake Arisor and within three hours it crossed highway 101 to reach Tajiguas Beach.
What caused the fire in southern Santa Barbara County?
The fire was reportedly caused by “wind-blown vegetation.” Nuzauk report.

According to Captain Nikki Stevens of the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the biggest concern is “Lefgio Canyon with lots of vegetation upstream and many structures that haven’t burned for decades.”
Which area has an evacuation warning?
An estimated 3,900 acres have been burned down, and Arroyohond Canyon, Lefgio Canyon, Lefgio State Beach, El Capitan State Beach, and El Capitan Canyon Campgrounds are scheduled to be evacuated.
