City officials released a video on Wednesday.
The video shows an explosion that separates a metal tank from the ground, launches it into the air, and unleashes a large wave of water.
City officials said the tank flew about 70 feet high before it hit the ground. Large waves of water from the tank caused serious damage to the site’s infrastructure.
Dion Jones, a 41-year-old contractor in a tank, has died. Another Lemoore city employee was also injured.
The mayor of Lemoore said Jones was a husband and father of three. He worked as a union carpenter for 16 years.
