Vandal leaves racist notes, threatens couple in Wisconsin

A couple from Wisconsin say that someone has wiped their car several times and left threatening, racist notes, demanding to leave the neighborhood. Reginald Wilkerson and his fiancée Tanathie Addison, who are Black, said they have been targeted five times since the beginning of the year. Their silver sedan tires have been cut several times and the driver’s window has fallen in. But the most insidious part of the attack may be the notes they left behind. Multiple handwritten letters, tucked in plastic bags threaten the couple using explosives and the word N many times. “It kind of sucks to have someone in the neighborhood who just doesn’t know who I am at all and because of my skin tone, you just don’t want me in the neighborhood,” Wilkerson said. Wilkerson said he has not slept much in the last two months since the attacks began. The two of them have a little girl, who has not stayed in their apartment for fear of her safety. “We have a daughter and I think what will happen if she continues to escalate because I felt she was still going up,” Addison said. The damage to his car cost more than $ 1,500, Wilkerson said. Cameras have been set up outside the apartment, hoping to catch a racist vandal in practice. Watch the video above for the full story.
