According to the San Bernardino County Public Health Department, new infections with COVID-19 continue to decline, but deaths are still increasing.
As of March 3, a total of 38,726 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Fontana, killing 330 people since the pandemic began early last year.
After a surge in cases in November, December and January, the rate of increase dropped dramatically in February for Fontana and the county as a whole.
As of March 3, 287,055 cases and 2,959 deaths were reported in the county.
The county offers free coronavirus testing at the Jesse Turner Center on 15556 Summit Avenue in Fontana from 9 am to 7 pm on weekdays.
In addition, the state offers free coronavirus testing at the Jackbrik Center on 16581 Filbert Street in Fontana from 7 am to 7 pm on weekdays.
