Two years after pleading guilty to a nearly identical case, a Hayward man was indicted in federal court for possessing a gun during the shooting.

OAKLAND — Two years ago, D’Monieya Deshaun Green was incarcerated in a federal prison after pleading guilty to illegally possessing a gun.

Green, now a 29-year-old Hayward resident, is back in prison for nearly the same case. This time, police said he was shot and wounded in Oakland, but was again found with a firearm.

It all started on April 25, 2022, about six months after Green was released from his 2020 sentence. Police were called to report a shooting at his 7500 block on MacArthur Boulevard in Auckland, and Greene was found with a gunshot wound to his leg. Police say they found a loaded gun in the driver’s seat of the blue Toyota Solara he was driving.

At the hospital, a bundle of heroin fell from Greene’s clothes, officials said.

Federal prosecutors later indicted Greene for possessing a firearm and possessing it for the purpose of distributing heroin. Face 20 years in prison. Separately, prosecutors have charged Green with violating the terms of his supervised release in the 2020 case.

In 2020, Green pleaded guilty to felony possession of firearms and heroin distribution and was sentenced to two years in federal prison. It started with selling heroin, fight back against someone The person who shot him in May 2019.
