Two Homicides Reported in Less Than Four Hours in San Jose

San Jose police are investigating two murders just hours after the death of a man who was shot early Monday morning.

Police were called at 3:08 p.m. To the 400 block of South 10th Street, right next to the campus of San Jose State University.

In a press release, San Jose police said two people were shot. One person was seriously injured, and later died. Another suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

The death is the tenth murder this year in San Jose, police said. A woman was stabbed to death late Sunday night.

In an unrelated case, a woman died after being stabbed late at night in San Jose.

Police responded at 11:20 p.m. To Vera Lane’s 5200 block after someone reported a person on the ground.

Police located a woman with at least one stab wound, according to police. Her death was determined at the scene, police said. According to police, the suspect was found free.

The separate murders were the ninth and tenth murders of the city in a year.
