Barbie Doll’s Dreamhouse Truck Drives To The OC This Weekend – Orange County Register

Barbie’s pink Mercedes panel van will hit two local shopping centers this weekend.

Following the movie debut of “Barbie,” Named Glamor GirlThe 2023 Track Dreamhouse Living Tour is making two stops in Orange County this weekend (July 29-30).

First, Barbie Regalia will appear at the Giant Wheels Court (670 Spectrum Drive) in Irvine Spectrum (Saturdays 10am-7pm).

Next up, Fashion Island takes place on Sunday, July 30th (10am-7pm) in the Neiman Marcus courtyard at 401 Newport Center Drive.

Dreamhouse trucks are loaded with apparel, homewares and accessories “inspired by Barbie’s day at the Dreamhouse.”

Customers and fans can peruse t-shirts, hoodies (this is California, after all), denim, baseball caps, blankets, mugs, cups, and more.

Dear shoppers, you need a debit/credit card to shop on Barbie trucks. Prices range from $12 to $75.

Regal at Foothill Ranch to close on July 26th

Movie buffs looking to spend a few hours with Barbie doll and J. Robert Oppenheimer should rush or wait to see a movie at the Regal Theater at Foothill Ranch.

RegalAn employee who answered the phone on Friday, July 21, said the company, which has sold the theater location due to bankruptcy, has sold the facility to Cinemac.

The cinema, located at 26602 Town Center Drive, Lake Forest, will have its final day as a legal brand on Wednesday, July 26. An employee said it would be closed for a while.

Luckily for Regal staff, they all remain on Cinemark’s payroll, she said. She didn’t immediately reveal a schedule for her reopening, but she said it was “hopefully soon.”

The local Regal closure is the latest in a series for parent company Cineworld, which now operates as NewCo.The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in September.

At least seven theaters in Southern California have been subject to closures since January. Anaheim Hills 14, Calabasas Stadium 6, Irvine’s West Park 8 Theater, Metro Point Costa Mesa, Hemet Cinema 12, Sherman Oaks Galleria 16, Yoda Linda and IMAX Theaters.

Lambo executives congratulate new dealer in Irvine

Automobili Lamborghini officially celebrated the debut of its showroom at the Irvine Auto Center.

The Italian automaker, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, sent executives including Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Stefan Winkelmann, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Federico Foschini and Americas CEO Andrea Baldi to a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 44 Autocenter Drive.

“California continues to be the best-performing market in the United States, accounting for 25% of national sales, and Orange County has been one of Lamborghini’s strongest markets globally for many years,” Winkelmann said. “This new showroom will offer our customers an even more advanced experience as we move into a new era of electric vehicles, starting with the Revuert plug-in hybrid his super sports car.”

The Lamborghini Newport Beach is right next door to the McLaren Newport Beach that debuted late last year Grand opening at the end of June.

Alzheimer’s Conference August 3rd

Family caregivers of people with dementia will be invited to a conference sponsored by Alzheimer’s Orange County on August 3 at Christ’s Cathedral in Garden Grove.

Lori La Bay, founder of Alzheimer’s Speaks, will be the keynote speaker.

New CEO of MemorialCare Group

David Kim returned to Memorial Care after eight years in Providence and was appointed Chief Executive of the Memorial Care Medical Foundation, Memorial Care Medical Group, and Greater Newport Physicians. He also holds the title of Executive Vice President of the parent company of MemorialCare Health System.

His position will be effective August 21st.

Kim previously worked for the hospital group from 2009 to 2015.

He will lead Memorial Care’s physician and outpatient department, which includes more than 2,000 affiliated medical groups and independent physicians. He will also oversee the Memorial Care joint venture, which offers services such as imaging, dialysis, surgery centers, physical therapy and dental services.

He has also been named CEO of MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute and MemorialCare Cancer Institute, and Chief Physician Executive of MemorialCare Clinically Integrated Network.

The Orange County Power Authority in Irvine has hired Patti Cruz as an analyst for its new energy programs. The organization’s accountant, Owen Lee, has been promoted from Controller to Director of Finance and Data Analytics. Stephen Halligan has also been promoted from operational analyst to regulatory and legislative manager.

Scott Korngold joined the team at San Clemente law firm Gilson Dove as a trial attorney. He was part of a three-person hire from law firms Kegel, Tobin and Truth. Korngold is an expert in workers’ compensation litigation, tort litigation and claims under Section 132a of the Labor Code.

First Five Orange County appointed Angie Lowe to its commission. As president and CEO of Beyond Blindness, Lowe will serve a two-year term as a school board member.

Percy Lee, medical director of the Orange County and Coastal Oncology Division at City of Hope and an expert in radiation oncology, has been named a Fellow of the American Society for Radiation Oncology. Lee practices at the City of Hope Orange County Renner Foundation Cancer Center. He is also Associate Director of Clinical Research for City of Hope’s Department of Radiation Oncology.

Rashanda Beckwith, president and CEO of Orange-based Lutheran Social Services in Southern California, received Wipfli’s 2023 Excellence in Innovation Award for the organization’s vision of building long-term housing solutions for homeless men in San Bernardino. The organization’s planned $38 million project will double its ability to provide services that support life skills, workforce training, behavioral health, and social services. Her award includes a $20,000 donation to Lutheran Social Services. The Wipfli Award honors the late Evelyn Wright-Moore, a head start leader from Texas who attended 16 Wipfli National Training Conferences.
