THE woman who is accused by baseball star Trevor Bauer of allegations of sex assault has shared a cryptic message on social media.
The post includes a quote that refers to the truth as the woman and her lawyer face a defamation lawsuit submitted on Monday.
“When I am desperate, I think that through history the path of truth and love has always won,” reads the image with a quote from Mahatma Ghandi.
“There have been tyrants and murders and for a while they may seem invincible, but in the end they always fall, ALWAYS.”
The Sun received the 40-page lawsuit California this shows that Bauer is suing for damages.
De Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher prosecutes the woman, who is referred to as Mrs. Hill, and one of her lawyers, Fred Thiagarajah, for “knowingly” making “false statements,” about the MLB star to the media, show the court documents.
De complaint alleges that the suspect made “statements of sexual assault against plaintiff Trevor Bauer” and “prosecuted false criminal and civil actions against him, made false and malicious statements about him and generated a media blitz based on their lies.”
Bauer claims that the wife of San Diego intended to “destroy” his reputation and baseball career and get millions of dollars from him.
“Although a Los Angeles Superior Court judge dismissed Ms. Hill’s false accusations and the Los Angeles County District Attorney found them unworthy of criminal prosecution, the damage to Mr Bauer has been extreme,” the lawsuit states.
Los Angeles prosecutors refused to file criminal charges against the athlete, saying in February that there was not enough evidence to prove the allegations beyond a reasonable doubt.
Farmer administrative leave of the MLBfirst handed down in July 2021, has been extended multiple times after the woman’s accusations.
Ms. Hill’s lawyers published photos claiming to show injuries sustained during sex with Bauer.
The allegations included that Bauer smothered her in unconsciousness and beat her several times during two sexual encounters earlier in 2021. She also alleged that he had anal sex with her without her consent, court documents show.
Bauer denied all allegations against him, saying everything that happened between the two was “completely consensual.”
He maintains that the couple had rough sex at the suggestion of his accuser, and that they then made a joke with her every time thereafter.
In a October 2021 YouTube video, Bauer denounce the allegations as “false and misleading” while insisting that a court ruling on a ban against him “speaks for itself.”
Bauer’s remarks came after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Dianna Gould-Saltman denied the 27-year-old San Diego woman’s request for a restraining order.
It was rejected in August after a four-day court battle that involved 12 hours of Ms Hill’s emotional testimony.
The court ultimately found that the woman’s claims were “materially misleading” and that the only evidence of what happened while the woman was unconscious was “slapped on the ass”.
“In this case, the court finds that there is no supporting evidence that Bauer caused harm or even had contact with her,” Judge Dianna Gould-Saltman said.
Bauer played one season with the Reds before signing a more than $ 100 million three-year contract with the LA Dodgers in 2021.
Bauer continued to receive his $ 32 million salary amid his MLB administrative leave, which is due to expire on April 29.
