Israel-based technology startup Star says it has moved its San Diego offices to larger excavations at La Jolla Village Drive near Westfield UTC mall and UC San Diego campus. The surveillance company said in a press release that the move allows the company to continue its continued growth.

MiTek noted that money laundering is on the rise due to the limited oversight of new digital currencies. In addition, imposing new financial sanctions is likely to increase the need for security with accounts and transactions.

The use of biometric technology is a good way to ensure that companies do not deal with parties that are subject to sanctions or “dirty money”, a spokeswoman said.

HooYu says its technology combines identity document validation, electronic profile analysis, geographical location, facial biometrics and identity trust scores with traditional database checks and penalty checks.
