Eight months before the November 2022 election, three members of the current City Council opened campaign committees for re-election.

Earlier this week, Irwin City Council deputy Larry Agran officially announced that he is running to retain his seat on the city council.

As the pandemic is still in the minds of many Irwin residents, Agran has decided to announce his campaign through a substantial video announcement that was published on the Agran website and on Facebook. Agran used the video to summarize his long history with the city, outline what he was working on, and explain why he decided to run for re-election in November. Refusing to make an official announcement, a member of the Council Anthony Kuo seems to have quietly opened his campaign for re-election to the 2022 city council last fall. According to financial documents posted on the city’s website, Kuo raised just under $ 28,000 in donations to the company last year. To visit Kuo’s website, Click here.

the mayor Farra Khan publicly announced its campaign to re-elect the mayor late last year via social media and via email sent to supporters. According to the city’s website, Khan has been raising money for the 2022 elections since last spring. She reported just under $ 95,000 in political donations by the end of 2021. The other two members of the current City Council are Mike Carroll and Topics by Kim will not be re-elected until 2024. However, both Carol and Kim have already opened their election commissions in 2024.
