Those electronic speed signs are there to help you, not cite you – San Bernardino Sun

NS. Hongk, on Orange’s Labeta Avenue, has installed an electronic speed limit sign. Each sign is equipped with a camera that flashes when the speed is too fast. California legislatures have not legislated automatic speed cameras. Does Orange issue speeding tickets even if there are no signs warning that enforcement is taking place?

NS. Federal grants covered the cost of 12 such signs, and the city placed them in four clusters on different roads. They were installed a month ago and flipped over about two weeks ago.
