Thirteen people were taken to hospital after a horror bus accident at Cabazon Outlets California.

The passengers were removed from the scene after an accident in which a Greyhound bus was involved with 33 people east of Los Angeles to Phoenix.

The car suffered what California Highway Patrol Officer Jason Montes told DailyMail.com was a ‘catastrophic’ front link failure.

The bus, which was traveling at about 60-65 kilometers per hour, drove to the left and collided with a Mitsubishi Outlander SUV in the next lane before colliding with the center section of the road and coming to a halt.

One of the bus passengers was transported with what CHP called a ‘major but non-life-threatening’ injury.

Twelve other people from both the bus and the Mitsubishi were taken to local hospitals with ‘minor to moderate’ injuries.
