VICTORVILLE, California (VVNG.com) – Authorities are investigating a car-to-car shooting that resulted in a window shot at a local charter school.

On Friday, March 18, 2022, at 8:46 a.m., Victorville Police Department deputies responded to a shooting on Palmdale Road, east of Cantina Street.

When law enforcement arrived, they found a female victim inside a local company who said her vehicle was shot at while driving along Palmdale Road.

The incident happened near the Mojave River Academy, resulting in a stray bullet that hit a glass window, causing it to shatter.

“No one was injured at the school and the school was not closed,” authorities said in a press release. “The Mojave Academy was not the target of this incident.”

The victim was not injured and the suspect remains unresolved.

The school was closed for the day, and the maintenance team was on site and pinned the damaged window.

The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities say they will not release any additional information at this time.
