CAJON PASS, California (VVNG.com) – The head accident on Thursday morning at the Cajon crossing was caused by a driver who turned in the wrong direction.
A traffic collision was reported at 8:51 a.m., on the I-15 highway heading north near the Blue Cut area.
California Highway Patrol Officer Ivan Sandoval told VVNG that a 32-year-old man from Corona was driving a Honda CRV in a northerly direction when, for unknown reasons, he turned and headed south and collided directly with a Honda Accord.
According to the records of the California Highway Patrol incident, the gray limousine was driving south in the northern lanes and headed straight for the black Honda Pilot.
The impact of the off-road vehicle overturned and landed from the roof in the middle lanes of the NB I-15 highway.
According to the records of the incident, a man in a white striped shirt ran out of the vehicle and over the lanes on the south side before jumping over the fence.
The man was in a sloping area along the highway near Kenwood Blvd.
CHP officials said both drivers were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.
