IT WAS AN ANNUAL RETREAT IN GARDEN CITY FOR YOUNG MEMBERS OF THE FIVE POINTS CHURCH AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE TO MEET AND GROW IN THEIR FAITH WHILE WE WERE DOWN THERE. BUT ON THAT ONE DAY. THE POWER WAS REALLY REALLY BAD BECAUSE A STORM BLOWN OUT OF NOWHERE. WHAT NOAH IS TALKING ABOUT IS SOMETHING CALLED MAJOR SURFACES EXTREMELY HIGH FLOODS THAT CAN FLOOD ROADS AND CREATE DANGEROUS OCEAN CONDITIONS. THE KIDS WERE TOLD TO GET OUT OF THE OCEAN IMMEDIATELY, BUT NO ONE NOTICED THAT ONE OF HIS FRIENDS WAS STILL OUT THERE DROWNING SEEING HIS FRIEND IN TROUBLE. NOAH DID NOT HESITATE. I JUST RUSHED TO THE FORUM AND PRAYED THAT I COULD GET TO THE FIRST. PASSED AWAY. NOAH WAS ABLE TO GET THERE AND HOLD THEM OFF UNTIL MORE HELP ARRIVED THE WAVES CONTINUED TO HIT ME. AS I TRY TO KEEP HIM COVERED, I WILL GO DOWN BECAUSE HE COULD SWIM BUT WHERE WE WERE I COULDN’T TOUCH I COULD TOUCH ALL THE WAY. BUT HE WOULD PUSH ME DOWN ON LIFE SUPPORT. I WAS WILLING. TO DIE THAT DAY FOR HIM MEANS THAT HE WILL LIVE TODAY. NOAH SAYS HE KNOWS WHAT HE DID THAT DAY WAS HEROIC, BUT FOR HIM HE JUST TRUSTED HIS FAITH. TO THE HELP OF A FRIEND. I REALIZED THAT IF IT WASN’T FOR WHAT I HAD DONE. HIS FAMILY WILL BE MOURNING AND PLANNING HIS FUNERAL RIGHT NOW. NOAH SAYS THE BOY IS DOING MUCH BETTER AND IS EXPECTED TO MAKE A FULL RECOVERY. ENCOURAGE OTHERS. PLEASE STAY SAFE OR OUT ON THE OCEAN AND NEVER GO INTO CONDITIONS WHERE
