Teen dies in Laguna house party shooting | News

An 18-year-old gunman was shot dead by an unknown gunman at a house party in Laguna in the early hours of April 9th. Officers tried to save the victim’s life before succumbing to his injuries, Elk Grove police said.

Sacramento County coroners have not identified the suspect until the time of publication.

This incident was reported around 2 a.m. in the 7400 block of Brandamore Court.

Elk Grove police spokesman Jason Jimenez said police were informed of the shooting and found the victim inside the home. Authorities learned the house was being used as an Airbnb rental and believe there were at least 10 people during the party, it was reported. Most of the guests left the scene by the time police arrived, authorities said.

Jimenez said the suspect was not identified and the motive for the shooting is unknown.

This is Elk Grove’s second homicide this year. A homeless man allegedly stabbed a transient man near a bus stop on Sheldon Road in February. Investigators located and arrested a 31-year-old suspect.
