The Beverly Hills fairy tale is on the corner of Carmerita Avenue and Walden Drive and looks more like a movie set than a house. And, in reality, it was before it moved to this place.
The protected landmark was built 100 years ago in Culver City for Willat Studios. Its exterior originally functioned as a set, and the interior had an office.
The building was moved to Beverly Hills in 1926, which was converted into a home. But it wasn’t in the limelight. You may know from the movie “Clueless”.
If you look it up on Wikipedia, it’s also known as the Spadena House, named after its former homeowner.
Thousands line up every Halloween for a chance of trick or treat.
ABC7 has recently been toured, although it is usually not accessible because it is privately owned.
