VICTORVILLE, California (VVNG.com) – A Mercy Air helicopter landed in Hook Park to transport a pedestrian hit by an SUV Monday night in Victorville.
It happened around 8:31 pm on April 4, 2022, on Hook Boulevard near Amargos Road, near the entrance to the Stater Brothers shopping center.
Ambulance crews arrived at the scene and found an adult man down West Street on Hook Bvd.
Victorville City Fire Department requested a helicopter to land in Hook Park Field. The Mercy Air helicopter then transported the pedestrian to the trauma center.
The driver of the vehicle involved, a 2017 black Cherokee black jeep, remained on the scene and cooperated with police.
This incident was the second reported collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian in the city of Victorville about an hour and about a mile apart. VVNG also learned a pedestrian hit Mojave Drive and Condor Road was killed.
Investigations are being conducted by the Victorville Police Department, and additional information will be updated as soon as it becomes available.
