President Joe Biden thanked retired Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer for his speech on the state of the Union on Tuesday night. “I would like to honor someone who dedicated his life to serving this country: Judge Stephen Breyer – “Army veteran, constitutionalist, and retired U.S. Supreme Court justice,” Biden said. “Justice Breyer, thank you for your service.” Biden also urged the confirmation of his candidate, Federal Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. President Joe Biden thanked retired Supreme Court Justice Steven Breyer during his Speech on the state of the Union on Tuesday night.

“I would like to honor someone who has dedicated his life to serving this country: Judge Stephen Breyer – a veteran of the military, a constitutionalist and a retired judge on the United States Supreme Court,” Biden said. “Justice Breyer, thank you for your service.”

In response, Breyer put his hand up in his heart and stood up for a moment to recognize the applause.
