Steve Burton Announces Separation from Pregnant Wife: “The Child Is Not Mine”

Steve Burton, a former beloved star in the long-running soap opera General Hospital, has confirmed his wife is expecting.

However, this is not good news for the actor.

It’s embarrassing news and it’s painful news, and we let Burton himself explain why.

“I wanted to find out something,” he wrote in his Instagram Store late Wednesday. “Sheree and I are divorced.”

Burton then clarified:

“She recently announced she was expecting her fourth child. The child is not mine. We are still in common parenthood with our three beautiful children. We would appreciate privacy right now. Congratulations, Steve.”

Okay, huh?

Burton clearly says Sheree betrayed her and became pregnant in the process.

The soap opera star and her estranged spouse were married in 1999 after meeting at General Hospital filming.

Burton and Sheree have daughters Makena, 18, and Brooklyn, 7, and a son, Jack, 16.

The former did not clarify how long the couple has been separated.

Sheree has not spoken publicly about this separation and / or Burton’s adultery.

Burton announces

However, she recently announced she was pregnant when she shared a picture of her page profile on the Instagram Store holding her baby puppy, as the General Hospital fan blog shared.

“Life is definitely full of surprises!” he explained the revelation.

Burton, meanwhile, announced in November let go of the general hospital due to the COVID-19 vaccine mandate of the program and his decision No to take this vaccine.

“I know there have been a lot of rumors and speculation about me and the general hospital, and I wanted you to hear it from me in person,” Burton said in a video at the time.

He continued:

“Unfortunately, the General Hospital has let me go because of the vaccine mandate. I applied for my medical and religious exceptions, and both were denied, which, you know, hurts.

“But this also applies to personal freedom for me.

“I don’t think anyone should lose their livelihood because of this. But when you say you know me, I’ll always be grateful for the time I spend in the general hospital, I love it there.”

Burton and family

Burton played the character of Jason Morgan for three decades at General Hospital.

He is now returning to his Harris Michaels role in Days of Our Lives, which he first took on in 1988.

The actor will perform in the second season of Peacock’s spinoff Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem, which premieres on July 11th.

“Maybe one day, if these mandates are dissolved, I can go back and end my career as Jason Morgan. That would be an honor,” Burton concluded late last year.
