Los Angeles Sparks have exercised the option for the fourth year as a rookie for Chenedy Carter, the team announced today. The Sparks acquired Carter in 2022 as a free agency in a deal with Atlanta Dream. In two games, Carter averaged 12.0 points and 2.5 assists in 17.0 per minute of play, shooting 52.9% of the field.

Carter was selected as No. 4 overall in the Atlanta Dream WNBA 2020 Draft. Her rookie averaged 17.4 points and 3.4 assists per game with 47.5% of field shots and 37.5% of the 3-point line. She won the WNBA All-Rookie Team. For her career, she averaged 15.8 points in 24.8 minutes per game.
