Customers who appeared at the Boston Market in Rancho Cucamonga’s Foothill Boulevard and received a prepaid meal on Thanksgiving morning were shocked.
The restaurant door was closed. The sign outside says: “No employees appear today … I can’t process my order. I’m sorry!”
The Boston market is investigating why it happened, company spokesman Slaton Smith said in a statement.
“We are refunding Thanksgiving orders for all guests affected by the location of Rancho Cucamonga. We sincerely apologize to everyone who ordered and visited our store today.” We are doing it.
Joseph Amat, who lives in Rancho Cucamonga, called this situation “quite disappointing.” He pre-ordered the meal last week and came to the store on Thursday at 9:45 am to receive it.
“I don’t have any emails,” Amato said. “And there’s food there, there’s food in the truck next to it, and I’m just waiting for someone to show up. Now it’s everyone here without food.
“I really wanted to ease this Thanksgiving and not have to cook a whole supper for my family,” he said. “Now I have to find Plan B.”
