Solano College women’s volleyball team splits at Classic – Times-Herald

The Solano College Women’s Volleyball Team defeated West Hills-Lemoore 25-17, 25-17, 25-14 on Friday’s third and final Solano Classic.

Sammy Brown led the Falcons (7-11) with 10 kills, adding 8 digs and 2 ace. Dani Rydjord stole the chip with 8 kills and 3 ace. Chris Rigny Cruz added 6 kills and blocks.

Kailyn Kaiser led the defense with 12 excavations and Gina Garlick was a 4-block net machine. Jery ​​n Baldonado provided 28 assists and 6 out of 6.

Later, Solano lost to the Feather River 25-19, 25-21, 25-22. Feather River is the second-largest team in California.

“We were stable and we were with them even throughout the match,” said Dara Williams. “It was an improvement over our last Delta tournament meeting. We would look very solid if we could incorporate this level of play into our meetings.”

Rydjord had 10 kills and no errors while adding 8 excavations. Brown added 9 kills and 6 digs.

Garlic scored two blocks and Cruz scored five kills.

Mylie Moli led the service line with two ace and added her own four kills. Baldonado has distributed 22 assists. Kaiser led the defense with 10 excavations and served 9-9.
