Smell smoke in the air in the Greater Sacramento area Tuesday night? This is likely from a fire burning in Solano County. A wildfire burning in the Grizzly Wildlife Area, south of Fairfield and north of Concord, started Tuesday afternoon just before 5 p.m. throughout Sacramento County, heading into parts of El Dorado County. There were reports of the smell of smoke as far south as Elk Grove. There was also a less than healthy air quality beyond Rancho Cordova.
