HESPERIA, California (VVNG.com) – The investigation of the traffic collision caused Sig Alert along the state road 138 on the side of Hesperia.
The accident was reported at 9:18 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022, approximately two miles east of the I-15 highway at the Cajon Pass.
Upon arrival, a silver Subaru Impreza vehicle was located about 100 feet from the road with major damage, and the driver could not be found.
Ambulance staff and Good Samaritans assisted in the search for the driver they suspected had catapulted during the collision during the rollover.
CHP officers searched nearby McDonalds and gas stations. The CHP aviation unit also responded to help with air support, and they were also unable to locate anyone.
According to the records of the incident of the California patrol on the highway, the vehicle was heading west when the collision occurred.
Highway 138 was temporarily closed in both directions at around 10:20 a.m. Traffic west on Highway 138 is currently closed in Summit Valley, and eastward is closed on Wagon Tain Road.
An investigation is underway and additional information will be updated as soon as it becomes available.
