It’s been four years Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber resigned for the last time after years of on-ain, off-ain drama.
Bieber married Hailey Baldwin in the same year, and Selena does not seem to have any difficulty in moving forward either.
The singer is currently starring in the beloved Hulu comedy; he has his own cooking program on HBO Max, and he will host SNL this week.
Although Selena is currently single, she has joined The Weeknd and several other A-list types.
In other words, he has never given any indication that he has still cut off Justin.
That’s why fans were so surprised by recent allegations that Selena had cast a passive-aggressive tone on Hailey at TikTok.
The problems began Tuesday when Selena released a video in which she shared the details of her skincare routine with 40 million followers.
Selena is a talented comedian, and her followers love the blatant sense of humor she brings to her posts.
So it should come as no surprise that she grinned and rolled her eyes throughout the video, apparently in a self-defamatory confession that she was involved in a celebrity beauty trend that has become cliché.
But since Hailey had just uploaded a similar video a few hours earlier, some people read too much about Selena’s skincare post.
The comment section exploded into allegations of bullying, and Selena finally felt the need to acknowledge the situation.
“That’s why I believe in taking care of your mental health,” he commented on the clip before closing the comments.
“Guys, I don’t know what I did, but I’m really sorry. No bad intentions. I’ll be removed soon.”
Yes, it seems impossible that anyone could be offended by a simple skin care routine video, but commentators were convinced that Selena shone subtly on her ex-wife.
“Wait… if he’s trying to spoil you, don’t know who,” one commenter wrote. by In contact.
“LOL I know who he’s referring to,” another user cunningly pointed out.
Several commentators went so far as to accuse Selena of “bullying” Hailey.
Fortunately, some people understood the absurdity of the situation and came to defend Selena.
“Who is he tearing down? No one has an answer,” one fan wrote.
“He’s not referring to anyone,” another added.
“She’s making a fun little skincare video.”
While the accusations against Selena are apparently ridiculous, it’s not hard to see why Hailey’s fans would be particularly sensitive to all kinds of bullying.
In 2020, Hailey published Instagram Story, in which she asked overjoyed Selena fans to stop her harassment.
“I’m usually quiet and I don’t recognize these things because I have to protect myself and my mind,” Hailey wrote at the time.
“But it has indeed risen to a level of anger and resentment that is shockingly unhealthy and sad,” the model continued.
“Never in a million years will I hope someone is treated this way, and I will never tolerate such hostile behavior.”
Fortunately, online violence seems to have subsided over the years.
We think it’s clear that Selena wasn’t going to ruin Hailey’s expense, but based on everything that happened, it makes sense for Hailey’s fans to be so vigilant to protect their favorites.
