SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The Kappa Delta, Beta Rho Chapter, of San Diego State University hosts the annual Shamrock 5k Run / Walk on March 19, 2022.
The event raises awareness and raises funds for Prevent Child Abuse America and the Olive Crest Foundation.
More than 300 participants, including San Diego State University students, members of Greek campus and local community organizations, are expected to attend the event, which includes running / walking as well as toys, vendors, food and speakers from Olive Crest.
“Over the years, Kappa Delta Beta Rho has raised over $ 22,000 for Prevent Child Abuse America and Olive Crest, and this year we hope to continue that momentum at the 2022 Shamrock Event. Our beneficiary, Olive Crest, is based in San Diego, is based on our funds raised to support their mission to help children at risk of finding strong families. “Philanthropy is located in the heart of the Kappa Delta and we are honored to help Olive Crest as it connects our community’s youth with safe and secure housing, access to success tools and forever families,” said Beta Rho, Director of Charity and Community Services. , Sara.
