Troy AllenTroy AllenThe California Institute of the Arts recently announced the appointment of Troy Allen as the new vice president for facilities development and management. CalArts President Ravi S. Rajani, Allen began his work as a member of the institute’s senior leadership team on July 11, 2022.

“We are excited to have Troy join the institute’s senior leadership to help us advance our strategic goals by updating our Valencia campus for both our current needs and our vision for the future, while strengthening our commitment to environmental sustainability,” said Rajan. : “He brings a wealth of experience, including extraordinary planning ability and experience working collaboratively across complex higher education organizations.”

With more than 28 years of experience in business development, management and strategic planning and more than 11 years of experience in higher education, Allen comes from CalArts, California State University, Los Angeles. Prior to working in higher education, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Wolters Kluwer, leading the legal and financial services divisions of the Fortune 1000 company. He consulted for Perot Industries of Texas and Dell, Inc. and worked as a development executive at the studio formerly known as 20th Century Fox as well as Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Allen graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and resides with his family in the Santa Clarita Valley, Los Angeles.
