The city of Santa Clarita will soon begin construction on its annual Road Rehabilitation Project, which uses a mud seal to improve paved roads, improve city roads, and address maintenance issues before they become major issues. Road rehabilitation is expected to begin on the week of May 16, 2022 and continue through the summer months. Residents are asked to be aware of the work being done in their neighborhoods, to change parking lots and to drive accordingly.
City’s Road Rehab website, santa-clarita.com/RoadRehab:, provides frequently asked questions և tips for residents to ensure that surface remodeling is completed both quickly and efficiently. An interactive map will be available soon, allowing residents to find their street on the map to see if dirt or cover will be used, and an approximate timeframe to get back on track. For the latest updates, including last minute schedule changes, please follow the hashtag #SCRoadRehab on Twitter.
Door hangers will be distributed to homes that will be affected throughout the project prior to construction, with reminders distributed to settlements prior to construction. Please be aware that the construction of road rehabilitation on adjacent streets may also affect residents.
E-boards will be placed near the affected areas to remind residents of the impending construction, and temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted prior to construction. During the construction, all the cars in the “No Parking” zone will be towed. Construction can take place at any time from Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4:30 pm.
The city of Santa Clarita appreciates the cooperation and support of the community and will work hard to minimize inconvenience.
