Janet Srinivasan Jr. of the California Institute of the Arts’s “Yellow / Blue Game” is one of the productions included in the 2022 Hollywood Fring Festival. Srinivasan’s play is an original play about the grief, memory and childhood colors of a surviving twin.

A recipient of the 2022 Hollywood Fringe Festival Scholarship (Theater BFA 2023), Srinivasan has created a play dedicated to raising awareness of mental health as it traces the traumatic loss of a twin sister. The surviving twin struggles to forget his sister’s name, to reminisce about watching memories from home videos. Although the play takes place in our day, most of the events took place in the early 2000s).

The cast includes Shirin Heydar (Theater BFA 2024), Justin Gorry (Theater BFA 2024) and Olivia Ross (Theater BFA 2024).

The Yellow / Blue Play creative team includes Srinivasan as director, writer, sound designer, costume designer and decorator, and Kenzi Caulfield (BFA 2024 Theater) as lighting designer.
