Vasquez Rocks Natural Area has 932 acres of impressive rock formations և seasonal flow. The history of the rocks began in prehistoric times, when the sandstones rose at a beautiful angle, showing their jagged red lines.
In 1874, one of California’s most famous bandits, Tiburcio Vazquez, used these rocks to escape capture by law enforcement. Its name has since been associated with this geological feature. The park is a popular area for hiking, parties, equestrian sports, and has been used in many hit movies, TV shows, and commercials.
