The training event will be held on Tuesday, May 18th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm through Zoom.

Tickets are $ 5 for JCI members and $ 10 for non-members. The event is open to the public and anyone who wants to learn funding techniques can attend. Participants will participate in a lottery to earn money to be donated to selected nonprofits. The proceeds will be donated to the “JCI to the Rescue” fund, which funds companies suffering from a pandemic.
JCI Santa Clarita, an organization that fosters young leaders in the community, hosts a funding workshop where Ray and Starry share tips and tricks for navigating the hustle and bustle of funding. Staley and Ray present an insightful strategy for field questions from the group on corporate philanthropy, non-profit financing methods, and how to succeed in community financing initiatives. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn from other non-profit professionals in the Santa Clarita Valley. I don’t want to miss this training. It is relevant to anyone who wants to influence a charity or its local community. This event is part of JCI Santa Clarita’s 2021 training series.
Ray is the recently appointed Secretary-General of the Canyons University Foundation. Rei, who lives in the Santa Clarita Valley, has come to COC with over 10 years of non-profit financing and development experience. Her role is to work closely with Prime Minister Diane Van Hook, the Board of Directors, and the Foundation Board to coordinate and lead the university’s ongoing funding efforts, identify potential donors, and become a community leader. To develop and maintain a cooperative relationship with. Ray holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, a non-profit business qualification from the University of Texas, and a master’s degree in public administration from Villanova University. She has served small, medium and large nonprofits, from the SCV Community Center to the City of Hope and Santa Clara University. Ray joined JCI Santa Clarita in 2021.
Staley is a senior consultant to American Philanthropic, a consulting firm specializing in financing services for nonprofits nationwide. Prior to that, he worked for a nonpartisan policy organization based in Washington, DC. Staley has experience in working with charitable foundations and creating grants, corporate donations, grant management, non-profit accounting, and direct mail coordination. Her work was published in Philanthropy Daily magazine. Staley studied political science and business administration at Arizona State University. Originally from Arizona, she moved to Santa Clarita in May 2020 and joined JCI Santa Clarita shortly thereafter. She is also a USA Water Skier as a councilor and woman on the Fundraising Commission in Arizona and New Mexico.
