MAIN, located at 24262 Main Street in Old Town Newhall, invites residents to delve into different cultures and countries through the Lens. during the “global film series”. Let’s enjoy the charming short film “Mulas” of Tanzania on Thursday, March 24, at 19.00. The free screening will be followed by a lively discussion with “Honeymoon” film director M.

“Mulasi” is followed by a group of childhood girlfriends – Cechella, Zamoyoni, Ginger and Jamila, who are also unemployed but qualified lawyers. They all decide to bow down, to find a way to survive in a demanding society, to pay their bills. During their journey, they overcome the challenges of their relationships, social life and marriage. This movie is not recommended for people under 13 years old.

Film director Meghramis M. Al-Jaber was born in Singida, Tanzania. He is a Tanzanian-American author, journalist, painter, film director and television producer. In 2015, he won the Zanzibar International Film Festival Award for Best Director for his comedy drama “Daddy’s Wedding,” as well as the Houston WorldFest Silver and Gold Awards.

MAIN World Film Series will take place every fourth Thursday of the month. Discover the world through the unique perspectives of filmmakers from different countries and cultures.
