Canyons College went to El Camino College to compete with Cypress College և El Camino for a double goal in the second of three such matches between the two teams this season.

The Canyons (13-7-1) won the opening match against the Cypress (17-3), which eventually lost 7-4.

The COC began to work hard to advance 3-0 in the first inn, but Cypress finished third and eventually advanced to the next inn.

The tough fight had started, ցավ unfortunately the cougar could not match the Chargers run.

After the initial defeat, the Canyons came out aggressively in the second game against El Camino, making three runs in the first inn.

Gradually increasing their lead, the Cougars tightened their grip, securing a 5-2 victory.

The COC previously hosted the two teams with a home pair in late February. Canyons, Cypress և El Camino are scheduled to meet again on April 2.

Game 1 (7-4 Canyons defeat by Cypress)
The Canyons were the first to cross home after Ashley Huck scored in an unearned run,’s two errors paved the way for Lisa Motz and Alisa Silva, who took a 3-0 lead in the first innings.

However, activity slowed for the Cougars, և Cypress took advantage և to reach the third, eventually leading 5-3 in the fifth.

Huck gave the Cougars a little hope in the fifth, when he came out alone in the center, brought Silva home, making the score 5-4.

Nevertheless, Cypress continued to press for two runs until the game ended 7-4.

Alison Melgar (7-4) was blamed for the loss after completing the entire six innings, allowing a five-run run on 15 strokes.

Game 2 (5-2 Canyons win over El Camino)

The COC started the second game against El Camino with a 3-0 advantage in the first inning.

Huck drove the second RBI of his day when Motz came home from his lone right field.

Silva used his chance, added և one more run from the field, և Hack did the same with the ball.

In the fourth, Motz’s single brought home Valerie Ramirez, leading 4-0.

El Camino saw his first “only runs under the sixth” with a few RBIs to make it a two-run ball game.

Samantha Flores (6-3) made five և 2/3 innings for the Cougars, while Melgar closed the last three outings. Flores was recognized for the victory, giving up eight shots, two runs, four walks, three shots.
