Santa Clarita staff have selected the Final Family Homes, a local non-profit organization that helps vulnerable young people as recipients of the city’s 2022 charity donation campaign.

Each year, Santa Clarita employees vote to select a local nonprofit that supports much-needed donations.

City staff can select donations, money or donations to a selected nonprofit through their Employee Health Program, WorkWell.

WorkWell has partnered with local nonprofits such as Bridge to Home, The Gentle Barn, and most recently Family Promise. Since 2017, the city’s staff has donated more than $ 25,000, hundreds of volunteer hours, and countless essentials.

Finally, Family Homes is a local non-profit organization that works with young adults who are growing out of care to help them achieve sustainable success in life. They provide for the basic needs of the recipients, such as food, clothing, bath supplies, and housing, while caring for their hearts և thoughts, inviting them to the community, celebrating their important events, and supporting their educational goals.

Through the Family Care Program Finally, Family Homes provided holiday gifts to more than 100 young people in Santa Clarita և and surrounding areas. The non-profit organization also helped provide Thanksgiving dinners, furniture for new homes, food and bath boxes for young people living in their cars, as well as birthday cakes and gifts for young adults who would not otherwise celebrate their birthdays.

Through its Life Skills Program, Final Family Homes has served the Golden Valley High School Student Health Center and the Guardian Scholars Program at Mission College Los Angeles, bringing more than 20 subject matter experts to cover a range of topics.

“It’s an incredible honor to be selected by our city staff,” said Christina Dronen, CEO of Final Family Homes. “We are excited that our mission has touched their hearts to have them by our side as we support our local youth in need.”

Workwell’s Emily Weldkamp explained the importance of contributing to a quality of life.
“The city staff health program offers staff a variety of ways to focus on their health and well-being, and health includes return, promoting social networking,” he said. “City staff appreciate the opportunity to support members of the Santa Clarita community through the efforts of local nonprofits such as Final Family Homes.”
