The Board of Governors unanimously approved the appointment of Lori Gambero and Jenny Plage as the new Assistant Directors. The schools to which they will be assigned have yet to be determined.

“We are fortunate to have the opportunity to welcome Ms. Jenny Plug and Ms. Lori Gambero to the ranks of Hart County administrative leadership as our newest Assistant Principals,” said Hart County Superintendent Mike Kuhlman. “Both bring years of successful experience as principals and assistant principals. We welcome their experience and expertise.”

Gambero comes to the Hart district from the Los Angeles Unified School District, where he currently serves as the Ramon C. is the director of the Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts. Prior to that appointment, she served as a district art specialist and assistant principal at Hollywood High School.

Prior to joining LAMDS, Gambero worked at both Clovis and Fresno Unified from 1997 to 2015. There she served as a language arts and theater teacher, as well as a department chair, head guidance counselor, vice principal, cultural director and director of the district campus. Roosevelt School of Art.

Gambero holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Composition from Fresno State University, a Masters in Educational Counseling and a PPS Certificate from National University, and an Administrative Services Certificate from Fresno State.

Plage comes to Hart County from the Bakersfield City School District, where he currently serves as principal of Compton Junior High School. Prior to this position, he was vice principal, dean of students, and testing coordinator.

Prior to serving as a school administrator, Plage taught mathematics at both the junior high and high school levels, all in Bakersfield.

Before working in education, he worked as an accountant from 1997 to 2005. Plage holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University, a Single Subject Teaching Certificate in Mathematics from the University of La Verne, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Point Loma Nazarene University.

The new Assistant Directors officially began their new roles on July 1, 2022.
